Ok so I'm creating this post here to keep all of you track of my project of Weather Satellite Receiver project!

The project will include details from the build of the Hardware and Software to get NOAA Satellites Images, and if I can, also LRPT (The digital ones) Images from Meteor and other Sats.

So for now in the repository I have the Synchronous APT Decoder working in Javascript. I'm currently porting it to C to get it more optimized.
The code will also include a satellite tracker to track which sats are in range so we can tune the SDR to capture its images.

So the final idea is to have a autonomous station that can receive images from any available satellites automagically and store it somewhere.

I will make a full review of how LeMaker Guitar performs with this task (and probably will perform very well).

So for the parts, I will use:

- Double Cross Antenna (Home-made)
- RTL2832U SDR (A cheap DVR Receiver, costs about US$20)
- LeMaker Guitar
- Fun

EDIT: So I got my first images using a RTL-SDR. If you want details:
Soon I will have the LeMaker Guitar Working with my OSP Project. Currently you can record manually using a RTL-SDR Dongle, GQRX and decode using atpdec. All of them are available in the apt-get for debian based distros ^^
